Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in Ukraine is seeking a qualified professional for the project “ Vocational Integration of IDPs/EU4Skills ” to fill the position: Vocational Training and Labour Market Advisor (full time, Kyiv) The Multi-Donor-Action EU4Skills aims at supporting the Ministry of Education and Science in the reform of the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector in Ukraine. The objective is to improve the attractiveness and quality of VET and to increase the relevance to the labor market. Components 1 and 2 of the action are coordinated by GIZ. In the implementation other agencies from member states of the European Union are involved. To them belong the Estonian Education Agency (HarNo), the Finnish National Agency for Education (EDUFI) and the Polish Solidarity Fund (SF PL). Areas of responsibility Developing coordinating project activities in the field of short- and medium-term re-training/advance qualification measures for IDPs, conflict affected and local residents of Ukraine. Initiating and coordinating project activities in the field of innovative projects implementation, rebuilding Ukraine measures. Liaising with project partners, stakeholders to plan, implement and monitor project activities. Initiating and managing a regional dialogue of partners from public and private sector as well as civil society. Processing technical aspects and further developing the area of responsibility in accordance with the specified quality standards. Maintaining of a good flow of communication and information between all involved institutions and counterparts and GIZ. Requirements Master’s Degree in Economics, Social Sciences, or equivalent qualification preferably with a focus on labour market and employment promotion. At least 5 years of professional experience in employment promotion and/or vocational training and/or international organizations. Readiness to frequent business trips (depends on security situation). Ability and experience to work in a political environment. English, Ukrainian and Russian are required. Knowledge of German would be an advantage. Experienced of work in an international team. Good self-organisation skills. Customer and service-oriented attitude. Ability to work under pressure. Good working knowledge of ICT technologies and computer applications (e.g. MS Office). Willingness to upskill as required by the tasks to be performed. Employment conditions Full-time position with a 40-hours working week. Contract duration until June 2023. Start date is as soon as possible.
